Hourly lets you keep track of up to four jobs. With it you can see how many hours you have worked at a particular job, how much you will be paid, and how much of your money you will be deducted from your pay.
This application accomplishes all of this in a simple, intuitive way. Jobs are arranged in a tab bar, with each job in its own tab. Because of this arrangement, clocking in/out or taking/ending a break takes, at most, two clicks. While on a particular job’s tab you can always see how many your current session’s time and your current pay cycle’s time worked and compensation. All of this information I displayed comfortably in one screen, there isn’t even a need to scroll.
You can also review your current pay cycle’s work sessions. They are displayed in a simple, easy to understand table. Each cell shows the date worked, amount of time worked, and compensation received. So, if there is ever any dispute about how many hours you worked and how much compensation you should be receiving from them, you can always show your side of the story.
Lastly you can also add, edit, and delete saved sessions. So that if you ever forget to clock in, forget to clock out, or even forget your phone, you can always add or edit a session. So that forgetting your phone or forgetting to clock in is not tragedy. Edited sessions are clearly marked as such, so that when showing someone your hours it is clear if they are edited or not.
But wait, there’s more! (I could not resist using that phrase). Every view in the application has a small info button. Clicking this button will flip the view to reveal information about the view and what everything is. It is probably not needed, but if you ever want to learn about what anything does, it is nice to know someone cared.
